Pictures from Hiking in Appalachia
Chewing up stuff and acting wild AFTER I fell off the bridge! Sledding in the leaves!! Around the cabin, getting brushed and playing with Dad Asheville Bakery for DOGS ONLLY-- what will I bring to Penny, errr. .. .what KIND of Question is THAT, mom? Along the Laurel River.
Dr. Wells is the best primary care veterinary Kayla has ever had. She has called to check on Kay's progress since the surgery and even had her come by just to show of her legs. If you are new to Ann Arbor and are looking for a vet, try Dr. Wells at Washtenaw Animal Hospital first, 734-971-5000! Tell her Kayla sent you!
Michigan State University Veterinary Hospital
It is a shame that MSU will not work with IMOM or OSLF. Thank you to all who helped with private donations. We'll still be paying off these legs for a long while-- not as long as the student loans, but for a long while just the same. Kayla is doing quite well one week after her second surgery, and you all helped that happen.
Cheers also for Dr. Curtis Probst of MSU. As it is a teaching hospital, the first surgery was done by Probst, head of orthopedics with a student resident. The second was done by Probst and a fellow vet rather than a student, as they have begun a new "service clinic" to allow them to serve more animals more quickly. Although the student residents can really be a mixed bag, Probst is a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Sarah Snow is a FANTASTIC emergency room resident, and DeAnne is the emergency room receptionist who seems to really know what's going on.
